Lovable

Host your Lovable app in Switzerland: step by step

klickops is a Swiss hosting platform that builds Lovable apps via their GitHub export and runs them on servers in Switzerland: your own domain, daily backups, free plan to start.

  • Lovable syncs your code to GitHub, that's the way out
  • Connect the repository in klickops; build and launch run automatically
  • Your own domain without a paywall, data in Switzerland

Takes about 15 minutes. No programming skills required.

Lovable is great for building. Running needs a home.

For prototyping, Lovable is hard to beat. Running is where it pinches: credits melt away even while you fix bugs, your own domain sits behind the paywall, and where exactly the app and your customer data run is anyone's guess. Fine for a demo, not for a business.

The good news: your Lovable app is a perfectly normal web app, and Lovable continuously syncs the code to a GitHub repository if you ask it to. That's exactly where klickops picks it up.

Getting the app onto Swiss servers

  1. 1

Enable the GitHub export in Lovable

In Lovable: open the project, connect GitHub ("Transfer to GitHub" / GitHub sync). Lovable creates a repository and keeps it current, so you keep building in Lovable as before.

  2. 2

Create a klickops account and project

Create an account, add a project. The free plan covers a small app, no credit card.

  3. 3

    Connect the repository

"Put an app online", connect GitHub, pick the Lovable repository. klickops detects the app type on its own and sets up the build.

  4. 4

    Launch and wait two minutes

The first build runs automatically; then there's a Swiss URL with encryption and daily backups. Change the app in Lovable and the update travels via GitHub and goes live on its own.

  5. 5

Connect your own domain, no paywall

Enter the domain, set the DNS record shown at your registrar, the certificate arrives automatically. Two real-world pitfalls: an old AAAA record on the domain sends visitors nowhere, delete it. And if the domain runs through Cloudflare, switch off the orange proxy mode for this record until the certificate is issued.

What about Supabase?

Many Lovable apps keep their data in Supabase. That keeps working unchanged after the move, the app talks to Supabase over the network. For now, nothing to do here.

If the data should move to Switzerland later, klickops provides a managed PostgreSQL database, backed up daily, in Switzerland. That migration is its own step, for whenever you're ready, or for the developer you invite with one click.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep building in Lovable while the app runs on klickops?

Yes. Lovable syncs to GitHub, klickops deploys from there. You build as before; updates go live automatically.

Can I connect my .ch domain?

Yes, at no extra charge. One DNS record at your registrar is enough; the certificate is issued automatically.

What happens to my Supabase data?

It stays where it is; the app keeps working unchanged. If the data should move to Switzerland later, a managed PostgreSQL is ready.

Is this compliant with Swiss data protection law?

The app runs in Swiss data centres with a Swiss company under Swiss law, compliant with the Swiss FADP and GDPR. The US CLOUD Act does not apply.

What does it cost?

A small stack is free, no credit card. After that, from CHF 9 per month, billed hourly, with a spending cap. No credits.
