Claude Code

Host your Claude Code app in Switzerland: step by step

klickops is a Swiss hosting platform that builds Claude Code apps straight from GitHub and runs them on servers in Switzerland: your own domain, daily backups, free plan to start.

  • Get the code onto GitHub (Claude Code does this itself if you ask)
  • Connect the repository in klickops; detection and build run automatically
  • Live URL in about two minutes, your own domain after that

Takes about 15 minutes. No programming skills required.

Localhost is not a business model

Claude Code gets you to a real app astonishingly fast. But afterwards it runs in exactly one place: on your machine. The moment anyone else should use it, a customer, a co-founder, you on your phone, it needs a home on the internet.

The usual reflexes are Vercel or Railway, both US providers. If your customers are Swiss, you want to answer "where does our data live?" with a single word. That's what this guide is for.

Getting the app onto Swiss servers

  1. 1

    Get the code onto GitHub

If your project isn't on GitHub yet, just tell Claude Code. One sentence is enough; it creates the repository and pushes the code itself.

    In the Claude Code chat
Create a private GitHub repository for this project and push the current state.
  2. 2

Create a klickops account and project

Create an account, add a project, done. The free plan covers a small app plus a database, no credit card.

  3. 3

    Connect the repository

"Put an app online", connect GitHub, pick the repository. klickops inspects the code and figures out on its own what kind of app it is and what it needs: a web server, a database, or both.

  4. 4

    Launch and wait two minutes

The first build runs automatically. Then there's a Swiss URL, encrypted, with daily backups. Every further push to the main branch goes live on its own.

  5. 5

    Connect your own domain

Enter the domain, set the DNS record shown at your registrar, the certificate is issued automatically. From then on the app runs at myapp.ch.

Bonus: Claude Code can talk to klickops directly

klickops ships an MCP server. Once set up, Claude Code can deploy your apps itself, read logs and investigate problems: you say "put this live on klickops", and it happens. No other Swiss host offers that.

You don't need any of this to start. But it's good to know the tool you build with and the platform it runs on understand each other.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to understand the code Claude Code wrote?

No. klickops detects on its own how the app has to be built and started. Understanding helps for building further; it's not needed for hosting.

What if Claude Code breaks something and I push it?

Every update can be undone with one click. The previous version is kept, and the database is backed up every night.

Can I use my .ch domain?

Yes. One DNS record at your registrar is enough; klickops issues and renews the certificate automatically.

Is this compliant with Swiss data protection law?

Data lives in Swiss data centres with a Swiss company under Swiss law, compliant with the Swiss FADP and GDPR. There is no US parent company, so the CLOUD Act does not apply.

What does it cost?

A small stack is free, no credit card. After that, from CHF 9 per month, billed hourly, with a spending cap.
